Disneyland

Tom's best friend Ben and his family came for a week long Disney vacation so we met up with them one day to hit the rides. We also took Patricia with us. (See the next entry) The kids lasted all day and Logan even tried a roller coaster, thanks to some peer pressure from the Baker's 3 year old Ali.

Patricia Arrives!

Patricia was a young woman that we encouraged to come back to the church while in Brazil 10 years ago. She came to visit us for a few weeks and it has been so amazing. The first day my head was pounding while trying to remember Portuguese and speak in English to my kids all at the same time. It has been a life experience that I never could of dreamed of. Over the last week she has updated me on those we shared the gospel with. Needless to say I have been brought to tears many times. It just seems surreal to be with her and be hearing that your investigators were sealed, served missions, and that one of your investigators is now a bishop.

I surprised Tom for our 7th Anniversary with a trip to San Francisco. He thought we were going on a date until we showed up at the airport. It was our first time visiting the city and we were able to go on a plane, train, street car, bike, ferry, and limo all in 36 hours.

Somehow for the last two winters we've missed the snow in Utah. We headed up a few weeks ago for Tom's grandpa's funeral. Logan played in the snow non-stop for 3 days. It was a dream for him. He even stayed the night at Grandma Moores so he could play in all of her snow. Tom was able to sing a beautiful song at the funeral and say a few words.
